This was very interesting - I study comparative literature, and I’m especially interested in operatic texts. I would love to read your libretto (and maybe write a paper on it) when it’s finished!

Really enjoyed reading about this, thank you! We read Dracula in my book club last year so this was an interesting contrast to that (though I don't think I would be able to watch the opera, as I think it would be too intense for me!).

I haven’t been able to see the whole opera—I’ve only seen a few clips—but yes it is *spooky*. I definitely recommend getting the libretto and reading it. Just a top notch piece of poetry.
